i had purchased a book on my iphone 4. but, i would like to transfer it to my kindle so i can read the book on my kindle when at home and my iphone 4 when at work.

how can i get the book on my kindle?

this seems to be very confusing.

i am new to this so any detail is appreciated!

Register your kindle to the same account that your kindle for iphone is registered to. After you do that, all of the books should be in the "archive" on your kindle and you can pick which books you want on your device. Or you can go to Manage My Kindle and send books to your kindle from there (once the kindle is registered).

When the Kindle is registered to your account on Amazon, the books already on that account will appear in the archive list on the Kindle. Click on the titles in that list to download them to the Home page of the Kindle.

The ebooks are always on the account on which they were purchased. I assume that the book that you bought is on your account.

@Justin: Have you synch'ed the Kindle? And have you synch'ed the iPhone? You need to do that on the app and the Kindle. Or you can go to the archive list on the Manage Your Kindle page on the website and re-download the book to the Kindle from there.

Justin, if you see the dictionary, you might not be looking at the Archives, but at your Home page. Click Menu, then select View Archives. Also, make sure you have your wireless turned on. You can view your Archives without having your wireless/wifi connected, but in order to get the most up-to-date list and to be able to actually download a book from your Archives, your wireless/wifi must be turned on.

Go to the Manage Your Kindle section in your account info on the Amazon site, and you will see a list of all of the books you have purchased. Next to each book there will be a pull down menu that says "deliver to...". From the pull down menu you can choose to send it to any of the devices that you have registered to your account, so as long as both your Kindle and your iphone are registered to the same account you will be able to send the book to your Kindle that way.

I purchased two books from Amazon and downloaded to my Kindle ap on my iphone. I would like to transfer those books to my Kindle. The Kindle iphone books are under a different account than my Kindle. I can not see either book in my Kindle list as they are in a different account (I assume since I can't see them.)

You would have to de-register the Kindle, and then re-register it to the Amazon account the iPhone is on.
