Download a book from the computer to kindle without WiFi connection

Good morning,

I am at work but my kindle only have the WIFI but there is no WiFI at my job. so with the USB cord, How do i download a book from my computer to the kindle?

I did that, but i do not have WIFI at my job so it did not transfer from the computer to the Kindle

When you connect your Kindle with USB cable to your computer, it will appear as a USB drive on your computer and then you have to manually copy the book from your computer to your Kindle.

Do u know what steps i need to do to copy the book from my computer to my kindle?

1. download a book from amazon to your computer.
2. connect your kindle to computer. I assume your computer running windows, it will appear as one of a drive with the name "Kindle".
3. open that drive and you will see a folder name "documents", open it and you will see a file with icon look like a blue book with letter "a" on top, that's a book you have in your kindle.
4. copy your book that you downloaded on your computer to this folder name "documents".
5. eject the drive "kindle" from your computer.
6. the kindle screen should be changed from "usb drive mode" to your home screen and you should be able to see your new book on the home screen.

Here's just a slightly different description in case it helps. I'm assuming you have a windows computer and not a mac.
1. Plug your kindle into your computer with the USB cord
2. Go to your Manage Your Kindle page at Amazon (from Amazon home page, click on Your Account in upper right, then Manage Your Kindle).
3. Find the book you've bought, on your Manage Your Kindle page and select Transfer by Computer. A window will pop up asking you which kindle you want to put it on (if there is more than one on your account). Pick the right one, then click Download to Computer.
4. A pop up will appear asking you where you want to save the file (or it might ask if you want to open it or save it. Pick save). When it asks you where to save it, go to My Computer, (or it's just called "computer" on some computers), then you should see Kindle listed. Double click on Kindle, then on the Documents folder (you have to save it in the Documents folder).
