I recently purchased a new kindle. I want to transfer my files from the old to the new, but I've found when I click on the "manage my kindle" link, no books are found. how can this be?!? why would my books just disappear like that? have they disappeared, or am i looking in the wrong place?

Could it be possible you have accidently setup 2 Amazon accounts?

I would call Kindle Customer Service to get it sorted out. Your books did not get deleted.

You can't transfer or copy Amazon-purchased e-books from one device to another. Is your new Kindle registered to your account? Is it possible you created a second account when you registered the new Kindle?

You are most likely signed into a different Amazon account than the one you used to purchase your books. If you need help accessing the correct account, click the "Help" link at the top of any Amazon page, then press the "Contact Us" button.

To insert a product link use the format: [[ASIN:ASIN product-title]] (What's this?)
