I may just not be looking in the right places but what are the advantages to having amazon prime on a kindle fire? I see you get one book a month from the library, unlimited video streaming and free two day shipping on most items. From what i have read it seems that those are all the benefits I get from signing up the the prime membership is that correct? Not saying it is a good or bad thing by saying all the benfits just trying to do my research and make sure i know exactly what to expect before i start my trail and i dont miss anything.

If you're asking if Prime is different with a Kindle than without, the answer is yes. You can't borrow from the Kindle Owners Lending Library without a Kindle device.

Those are the benefits. You can also share the 2day shipping with family (household) members. With the Fire it is the video streaming that is useful. Mostly Prime pays for itself if you use the shipping. The books and video or nice perks but not necessarily worth $79 a year.
