How do I block my children from being able to purchase content directly from their Fire? We have 6 Kindle Fires on ONE account, and I need to restrict my children from buying movies, games, books and apps without talking to me or asking first.

CBRetriever says:
go to the Parental Controls and password protect purchases

you can also turn off In App purchases (these can be really costly as tokens, level, updates, etc can really add up) - it's under Settings - Applications

Excellent idea. Where are parental controls? They don't make it easy to find...

I've justbougt a kindle basic for my 11 year olddaughter.I'd like her to be able to browsethekindle storeandadd things to her wish list, but not to be able to buybooks with oneclick. Parental controls only offer the option of blocking access to kindle store without a password. Is it possible to allow store browsing but block buying without a password on this baic kindle (not fire)

Pull down the menu. More. Parental Controls.

Yes. Block purchasing but not web access. Rather than the Store app, she can sign into her Ammy account straight from the browser and Wish List to her heart's content.
