I only understand your first sentence. I suggest trying a reboot of the device.

Go to Manage Your Kindle and find the title. Next to it is a drop-down menu labeled Actions. Re-set last page read is an option on that menu.

Are you asking how to reset the last page read? I can't figure out what you meant to type when "meau" came out.

To reset the furthest page read go to the Manage Your Kindle page at Find the book and click or hover over the Actions button on the right. Choose "Clear furthest page read ...". Turn on wireless on your Kindle to sync.

When I am reading a book and either shut OFF the Kindle OR let it automatically shut down it is supposed to ( upon reopening) go to the last page read. Mine used to do that. Lately when I open it the page is way beyond where I last left off. This means I must page back and find my last page that I was reading. Very time consuming. I hope this explaination is clearer than my original statement. Thanks in adanve.

Are you sharing your account with someone else? You can set the Kindles so that they sync to the farthest read page that a book was to on any of the Kindles...

Do you have the Kindle in a cover that attaches with hinges on the left? If so, remove the Kindle from the cover and see if the problem stops.
