Amazon is probably saving them for use as warranty replacements.

They are being held for replacement units to cover warranty issues.

If it's within 30 days, then you get a new replacement. If not, then you don't get a new replacement.

There are not "a lot of people sending them back" - there have been very few issues with the new Fire HD model. And they only exchange for a new one within 30 days of purchase - after that you get a refurbished one.

"but their (sic) are alot (sic) of people sending them back"

Citation?

A lot of people sending them back? Where did that nonsense come from?

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 20, 2012 10:26:43 AM PST
Please learn the proper use of there, their, and they're.

"I know it's a new product but THERE are a lot of people sending them back ... "

"If THEY'RE opened then THEY'RE used."

Thanks for bringing that up. I HATE it when people confuse "their" with "they're" (not to mention "your" and "you're", "lose" and "loose", etc.)

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 20, 2012 10:29:22 AM PST
Not to mention the non-existent word "alot".

I think "lose" and "loose" annoy me the most because they're not even pronounced the same.

They are all boxed up in a huge warehouse somewhere in D.C. being handled by "top men".

ETA: Top. Men.

At Bruce Boyle if your not the hired "help" then you have no idea what the turn a round is.

Good grief... seriously?

My pet peeve in this category is "its" vs "it's".

Of course, "her's" makes my teeth itch.

Who said Bruce was "hired help?"

A turn around is the place that the choo choo engine drops off one set of cargo cars, turns around, and hooks up to the next load.

"they're was sarcasm in that post that didn't come though."

There was no sarcasm, only stupidity. It came through loud and clear.

I am wondering what does a turn around have to do with a conversation about kindles.
