can you save favorites on the kindle's internet

Bufo Calvin says:
boze, yes, you can.

When you are on the website, you can see a small bookmark icon on your right side of the bottom ribbon (if you aren't seeing the bottom ribbon, try tapping the page). That will take you to a screen where you will see the site with a big plus on it. Tap that, and it will bookmark the site, which may be what you mean by a "favorite".

The current website you have open will also appear on your Carousel on the homescreen. If you long press (hold your finger tip on it for about a second) the site on the Carousel, you'll see a choice to add it to Favorites. That will keep it available to you on the lower bookshelves on that homescreen, and you'll be able to launch it from there. You can long press it on those bottom shelves to remove it from Favorites.

Create category names like "Fin" Finance, "Amz" Amazon, and "Wrk" Work, and put them in front of the bookmarks name (Amz- Fire Page), and the Fire will sort them into categories alphabetically.

You can put "1 - " in front of 3 or 4 bookmarks you always at the top (1 - Google).

Do favorites disappear when you clear the history on web..

Bufo Calvin says:
Neither bookmarks nor favorites are cleared by clearing the history.

To remove a listing from the favorites, long press (hold your fingertip on it for about a second) it on the lower shelves on the homescreen.

To remove a bookmark:

I have the same problem as you Andy. Some books I saved as Favorites are no longer shown in my Favorites Shelves. Does anyone know why this happens? --- Is their a limit of how many Favorites you can have at 1 time???

Yes. Hold down the web address on the tab and a menu will appear which will allow you to add to favourites, bookmark etc

None of this seems to work on the HDX - add to favorites or add to carousel are never available as an option on the web

Miss M says:
On the HDX, click the little three-line box icon on the right, and you get the bookmark option.

Long press on items in the Carousel in order to add to Home screen.

Right but how do you get the bookmark to the carousel? It's not an option.

Ah, sorry, you're right...Favorites is just not part of the home screen on the HDX.
