question on how many kindles can be on same account

There's no limit. I currently have 11 Kindles, 2 BlackBerries, one PC and the Cloud on mine.

The limit is on how many of those can have the same book at the same time. Generally, that limit is 6 - if it is different for a particular book, the product description will say so.

There is no limit. Some e-books can only be read on a limited number of devices at the same time, though. Often that limit is six and that information will be on that e-book's product page.
