The Blade says:
You go to the Manage Your Kindle page on the Amazon web site, from your computer, and delete it there. Select the drop down beside the book in question.

But once you do, it is gone forever and permanently. If you decide to re-read, then you have to buy it again. It takes up no space on your device while in the cloud, it is just a name on a list so unless you are absolutely positive that you want it gone forever it is best just to leave it there.

I have the kindle app on my ipad as well as cloud. I have deleted from the computer from the dropdown menu as recommended, but they are still in cloud on my ipad. Why aren't they disappearing. I would also like to know the answer to Georgette's question as well.

The subject matter was how to delete something from "cloud" not just the device.

To delete a book from the Kindle Fire HD all you have to do is bring the book up on the list and lay you finger on it until it brings up a new box. It will ask you to "Add to Favorites" or "Delete from this device." Don't tap the screen on the book!

this does not delete it from cloud, though...

but...I just read this and it works. delete book from amazon/managemykindle account, THEN go to your Kindle and "sync" your device again. I downloaded two books I thought I would enjoy, but did not. I deleted them from my device, then went online to amazon and went back to my kindle and re-synced it. Good luck
