JLMAC says:
Why was I told by Staples to throw my Kindle away, that it was defective and would not be replaced?

JLMAC - I don't know. You'd have to ask Staples. How long did you have your Kindle? They all have one-year warranty and Amazon would have helped you if it was still under warranty. And sometimes even if it's out of warranty.

Perhaps you should go to Staples and talk to a manager and let them know they have a nitwit clerk working for them. And that they owe you a Kindle.

@JLMAC: Why have you started a new thread!? You are making it very hard to have a continuous conversation.

The sales people at places like Staples are not trained in every item in their stock. They don't always know all the details of everything that they sell.

Why did you ask that question of anyone besides Staples?
