I'm sure this topic has been covered numerous times. I even tried to find one but could not. I would like to know if I can transfer my music from Itunes to my Kindle Fire HD 32g? And if so, how? Thanks in advance for any help.

leolady821 - The iTunes music files need to be in MP3 unprotected format.

You can either transfer the music files from your computer via USB cable or upload the files to the Cloud Player and then download or stream them from the Cloud.

USB transfer:

Cloud Player:

Pineapple - Thank you for your response. One more question, if they are not in the MP3 format is there a way to change this? I promise this is the last question :-)

Doesn't the Fire also support unprotected AAC?

You can use iTunes to convert the files to mp3 format.

@King Al - I have no idea what unprotected AAC is...

Susan, can I find out how to do this on Itunes?

King Al says:
AAC is the format of music sold by iTunes. Prior to about 2009, iTunes music was copy protected, so any of those would not be playable on the Fire. Anything sold after that is not protected, and should be playable on the Fire.

You don't need to convert unprotected files to mp3.

Just FYI: the unprotected iTunes file extension is .M4A. Protected ones are .M4P.

I have a credit balance on my I tunes. Can I download books and apply this credit for payment to my Kindle Fire? I would appreciate and help if this is possible.
