This Christmas, my husband is getting a Fire HD, and then my MIL is getting our 9yr old a Fire HD and the 6 yr old a Fire 2nd Gen. All 3 will be on the same Amazon account.
Do all apps for the Fire also work on the Fire HD or does it depend on the app, and vice versa? Also, if we get an android phone and get apps via the Amazon App Store for the phone, can we use them on the Fire and Fire HD?
Thanks.

What does b/w mean?

The Fire and the Fires have different operating systems. Some apps work on both, some don't. Once you have the devices registered, if you go to the product description page, in the upper right corner, you'll see the devices listed and there will be a green check for the ones that app will work for and a red x for the ones it won't.
