I can't connect to Wi-Fi - no devices are discovered. When I check the Device Info it says that my "Wi-Fi MAC Address: Unavailable"
I assume the problem is related. Any suggested solutions? I have updated to latest software, restarted many times - to no avail.

Try powering your router off and then back on.

Have done that many times too. I think the primary question is why there is no MAC address on the Kindle - it suggests to me that the Wi-Fi device itself in the Kindle has a problem

I think it is time for you to contact Kindle support. Click on help at the top or bottom of any Amazon page. Then click on the contact us button on the next page.

It appears this is a forum for prats to voice unwanted and eroneous opions. A pitty. I thought there would be geniune people with an interest in helping others on this site. A major dissapointment.

Vickie - Thank you - far more helpful

Vickie and others (apart from Fud53). I have had a very useful chat session with Amazon. Ultimately, the device needed to be reset to factory settings (after saving all content) as the Wi-Fi device on the Kindle was malfunctioning. All back up and running. And by the way, Fud53, the Kindle does have a MAC address.
