I will buy a gift cards and have them delivered to my email and redeem them for books for my kindle. Can I redeem a card I have on my daughter-in-laws account for my granddaughter kindle?

I'm not sure what you are asking. The best person to give you the proper answer is Kindle support. We are only other customers here.

Kindle support - click on help at the top or bottom of any Amazon page and then use the contact us button on the next page. I suggest using the phone option for the quickest response.

Once the gift card has been applied to an account, I don't believe you can move it to another account. You can always purchase a book as a gift and then use your granddaughter's email address to "send" the book to her. Amazon will send your granddaughter an email with instructions on redeeming.

Thanks Vickie, I didn't know you could purchase a book as a gift. That really helps me.

Under the button that says "Buy for xxx" you will see a button that says "Give as a Gift". Just click on it and follow instructions but you will need her email address.
