For those of you who play "Triple Town" when you're not reading, post your high scores here.

All of my 10 high scores are in the Boom Town rank. They range from a low of 259,790 to a high of 439,115.

I've played it only twice. My highest score is 159,010 ("Town").

I like strategy games. I just need to play it more.

I also like word games, which is why my most-played Kindle game is Scrabble.

I've gotten to city several times. Too lazy to go get the kindle and see the high score. I would love to get higher so I could stop playing. I'm hooked. LOL

My absolute best score so far is "Metropolis" (1,033,160 points). I don't think I'm going to try for that again - my next best high score is less than half of that.

I don't have this one. It didn't interest me enough to pay for it. But it's good to hear people are having fun with it. (I had to look it up because I wasn't sure if it was one I'd even heard of before.)

Here's a link for the curious who may not have heard of it yet:

Triple Town

I hope that Amazon will put a link to the apps/Active Content in the Kindle store soon as a separate section so it's easy to see what's being released. Now you have to stumble over an Amazon ad on one of their pages or hear about it from someone else.

You're correct -- It is addictive.

I'm impressed!

@Robin L. McLaughlin
When I click on "Shop in Kindle Store" when on the Home page of my Kindle, I'm taken to the Kindle Storefront. The section below "New York Times Best Sellers" on the storefront page is "Things to Try." Three game are listed there: Mine Sweeper, EA Solitaire, and Triple Town.

I had gotten "City" once, and then wasn't doing so well - had trouble even getting to Boom Town. But then one time it just clicked! I had great luck with few of the annoying flying wizards (so few wizards that several times when I had a bomb, I blew up a tree instead of a wizard) and things just kept going well. I got Megaopolis!! Score of 1,800,000+! I can't believe it. It will probably be a very long time before I can repeat that. There is definitely a lot of luck involved (getting few wizards, getting lots of matching crystals right when you want them, etc.).

Metropolis 1,180,005
Metropolis 956,135
City 654,355
City 627,327
Boom Town 526,825

And yes, I realize I must now go out and not only win back MAJOR cool points, but obtain a life!! (oh and of course use the Kindle for READING again at some point... waaaaay too easy to say "just one more game")

Edited to correct grammar

I've made it to Megalopolis with a score of 2,397,525. I've gotten into the bad habit of playing both Triple Town and Solitaire on my kindle while I'm watching tv. :-)

Anyone playing Panda Poet yet? I've started a high-score thread for it here:

My highest Megalopolis is 2,651,320 - next highest score is Metropolis at less than half that. I'm addicted to this game. Very bad when I lose track of time and are late to a meeting! Definitely luck involved :)

You guys are so bad! You have got me hooked on this game. You are right, "just one more game", last night I woke up with my Kindle on my lap and a game in session!

Deborah M says:
I can't believe how high you guys have scored! I started playing this a little less than a week ago. Seven out of 10 of my high scores are in Boom Town, with the highest being 377,360. Looks like I have a LONG way to go!

My high score: 780,070 (metropolis) and my low score: 64,980 (farmland).

My top five scores are 2,795,615
I have my top ten scores all in the Megalopolis range. This is an addictive game that is fun as well as great for brain matter when I am not reading on my Kindle. Part skill with some amount of luck in it too. Placement is everything so like chess you really have to think several steps ahead in a "if I do this, then... or what alternative moves can I make if the wizards pop up in a space I planned to use next". Making multiple matches in one play will significantly boost your score. My husband does Suduko puzzles and I play Triple Town to keep our minds active. I highly rec Triple Town.

Gosh! Congratulations.
You must be at least as addicted as I am. My top ten are all ranked Megalopolis, but they range between 1,803,760 and 2,200,775. But I play a lot and still get the occasional Farmland.

I had the entire high score page filled with megalopolis (I am seriously addicted), but just transferred to a replacement kindle yesterday, so boo hoo ... I should have written down my scores!!!

Posted on May 14, 2011 7:37:50 PM PDT
mine is a megalopolis 3,842,625.

Yup, I play too much. I play a lot while I'm talking on the phone, or riding in the car, or saying "just one more game, then I'll read that book."

But I read plenty, so I'm not too worried about it.

The key is GO FOR THE STARS. I try never to make a match with just 3 things, unless I have to. And my bomb rule: first wizards, then, if i don't have any wizards, bomb the highest thing.... even if it's a sky castle. You need the real estate more than the bonus points.

I have had triple town for about a year and play it way too much. I had gotten stuck for several months without a new high score, then got 9.5 million this morning. I am wondering if there is another type of city after 10 million.

scifibooks says:

I'm with you, my high is 8.6 mil, adn i've been stuck there awhile.. my lowest high is 4.9 mil....I play alot on the airplane since i travel alot.....

tips for others.....keep 2-3 areas of 5-6 blocks for trapping barbarians and creating churches together so you can create cathedrals close together....

I'm brand new to this site, but wanted to connect with some other Triple Town players. My top 10 scores have all been in the Megalopolis group with the highest one being 3,115,205. I just can't seem to get above that without a lot of luck! Sure is a fun and addictive game.
