S. Ben. says:
I bought a Kindle Fire from Staples last Saturday. For the first couple of days it worked great but then I noticed the charger sometimes wouldn't connect. I would plug it in but the light wouldn't come on and when I checked under settings and device it was not charging. I would unplug it and plug it back in and finally the light would come on. Thursday night no matter what I did the charger light would not come back on so yesterday I took the device back to Staples explained what was going on and they gave me a new one. I brought it home and got everything set up and this charger is doing the same thing. My question is: Is it me? Am I doing something wrong? or am I just really unlucky and bought two defective devices? Any suggestions?

The Fire's charging port can sometimes be an issue. What could also be happening is that the Fire you returned for the charging port issue, just got put back on the shelf for the next customer. It's not supposed to happen but it does.

I suggest contacting Kindle support. They will replace the Fire and then you will know that you got one that someone else has not had any problems with.

To contact Kindle support, click on help at the top or bottom the page and then the contact us button on the next page. I use the option that Kindle calls me. They call within I minute.
