How do you search the kindle lending library?
Your reply to PaulDH's post:
To insert a product link use the format: [[ASIN:ASIN product-title]] (What's this?)

You can search the available Prime books online by going to the following link, but you MUST borrow the books using your Kindle device. Otherwise, you will be charged if you click on the BUY button:

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_nr_n_0?rh=n%3A133140011%2Ck%3Aprime+eligible%2Cn%3A%21133141011%2Cn%3A154606011&bbn=133141011&keywords=prime+eligible&ie=UTF8&qid=1329603658&rnid=133141011

I don't know if Amazon nerfed it, as they clearly don't want to make it easy to search the lending library, but this link doesn't work. The first 2-3 pages of results were not lending library / prime eligible.

I can't search the lending library at all - if I go into the Lending Library, then bring up the search option, it will only search the books which are available to buy. It seems that the only option is to course through the 18256 pages to find something I want to borrow.

Even if you find a title that is eligible and that you want, it seems impossible to locate it through the Kindle device except by browsing through thousands of pages of titles, or by search which only gives options to buy that book.

If your Kindle is registered to the same account that is PAYING for the Prime membership, you will see the option to borrow.

I think the issue was that I didn't make the distinction between "Prime Eligible" paper versions of books, and "Prime Eligible" Kindle versions. When I use the link above and ignore results shown under 'Showing Top Results for "prime eligible mysearchterm" in All Product Categories', then I see the option to borrow for other results.

The link works fine. But you have to borrow from your Kindle. Select Shop in Kindle Store, choose "see all categories," select "Kindle Owners' Lending Library," and then use search on your Kindle.

The KOLL is only for Kindle books. There are no Prime eligible paper books because it's the KINDLE owners lending library.

There are Prime eligible paper books - they are eligible for Prime shipping, which is the main function of Prime.

But that's not under the KOLL program.

Of course not, but people don't always understand that. They see a book title and the Prime logo and they don't bother to notice the format of the book. And if you do a search for Prime eligible books before you narrow it down to the Kindle store, you see both.

His post states:

"... then I see the option to borrow for other results."

He's trying to borrow books. Paper books that are Prime shipping eligible can't be borrowed. That's what I'm responding to.
