I suggest calling tech support again, using the help at the top or bottom of this page and then the contact us button on the next page. Use the option to have Kindle call you. If the tech support agent can't get it to work properly and don't offer to replace the Kindle, then ask for a supervisor.

As with any tech support, some are better than others. Bottom line - your Kindle should be working properly or a replacement offered while you are on the phone.

Yes once via email and the second time they called me. The tech was trying on her kindle at the same time as me and she could not get hers to work either.

If tech support can't get the Kindle working properly, they normally replace the Kindle. Why didn't Kindle support offer to replace the Kindle??? Are you sure you were talking to Kindle tech support??

I cannot get the following to activate on my Kindle HD. Auto correct, cap lock and word suggestion. I have them turned on in Settings and have even done a hard reset but to no avail any ideas out there guys? Tech support, albeit very friendly were not able to help.
