purchased books not showing up on my kindle

I received an answer to my question and am very happy with how well the books are displayed. I need to ask more questions on the forum but I suspect that because my eyesight is so poor, I'm having trouble finding out how to post the new question! I don't remember how I posted here! I have this problem a lot. Finding where to login or post is the hardest if you can't see very well. :(

Can someone please point me in the direction of where I can post a new question? Please be literal. I tend not to understand anything implied. I'm an Asperger.

Thanks! It worked. My app was registered to the wrong account. It just took a while for my medication-fogged brain to figure that out. :)

Then your devices aren't registered to the correct Amazon account. It's really easy to inadvertently create a second account.

It's probably time for you to contact Customer Service to get it sorted out. Click Help at the top of this page, follow the prompts, and choose Call or Chat.

The books show on the MYCD page but when I choose DEVICES, it says, I HAVE NO REGISTERED DEVICES! But I have a Kindle app on my PC. And inside that app, it says it IS registered.

What should I do now?

1) Is your target device (the device you WANT to read the book on) registered TO the Amazon account where you accepted the book? You can check this by looking at your Manage Your Content and Device page, here online. Hover your cursor over the arrow next to your name up there at top right. A drop down will appear--choose MYCD.

2) Does the BOOK show there?

3) Switch to Your Devices. Does the target DEVICE show there?

If the answer to both 2 and 3 are "yes", then look for the [...] symbol next to the title you want to download. Click the [...], and choose "Deliver". Then pick which device you want it to go to.

4) THEN! Go sync that device (make sure wi-fi is ON), so that it can "go get" your delivered book.

I got 2 books as gifts from a friend. At first, things weren't working. I couldn't accept the gifts... until I found out that the gifts were sent to the wrong account. I apparently have two accounts on Amazon. So when I changed the email address and password, (I had to renew the password for the other account), I could now accept the gifts... and it looked like the books were being sent to my "KINDLE FOR PC" app! But when I opened my Kindle app, the books were not there!

I'm pretty sure I only downloaded ONE Kindle app. It was the one with "handicap accessibility." And I'm also pretty sure I got the app before I sent the books to it!

So now I just need to know what to do next! In the help area, there's no mention of the special Kindle app.

When I went to MANAGE MY KINDLE, it said I have NO DEVICES REGISTERED! But in my Kindle app, it says it IS REGISTERED!

Any help with this will be very much appreciated. :)

If they're showing up on your iPhone they are in your 'Manage Content & Devices'
Unless you choose to send it to more than one device it goes to the default one, which is decided by which one is first in the alphabet.

Same problem. Obviously Fiona is an Amazon employee as this is a real problem which she is making light of.

I have ordered 4 books in the last week none of which are not appearing on my kindle although they are appearing in my Iphone app. I will be asking for a refund.

Big Kindle fan but this is making me wonder.

Patricia we are having this same problem! I am so frustrated. We finally had to leave my house and hook up to wifi to get the books. I am not happy about this. It has happened with three books in the last week.

Hello I purchased "Big Little Lies" but it hasn't shown up on my kindle despite the kindle being connected to wifi. I resent it successfully two times via "manage settings" but still no luck.

Oh, and "What's up Kindle?" isn't snarky? Kindle is a *device*, not an entity able to be addressed. Did you mean Amazon, perhaps?

And I take leave to insist that contacting Customer Service is indeed a legitimate way to find answers. That's what Customer Service is for.

Sounds like a case of PEBCAK to me. Click on "Help", follow the prompts, and contact Customer Service. Use Call or Chat.

I had 7 books in the content section of kindle on my computer. I could read them on my Samsung note. I bought the 7th book recently. After that, the content only shows that book and the rest are gone. I am able to read the books on my computer as I downloaded them. I cannot read them on my Samsung. When I login to Kindle account it shows only one book in the content. So I cannot sync and read on the hand held device which is very important for me. Please help.
