Check your browser settings. Also, verify the format of these videos and if perhaps you need flash installed.

I have tried this: Get the YouTube app except get some of the lower updates from 2011 and such.

YouTube utilizes Flash. Adobe stopped supporting Flash on all Android devices fully two years ago.

I'm having issues too; Whenever I go to people's channels or search for something on YouTube, it just won't stop loading. And for some other reason, it works fine on my computer. Are you guys having this problem too?

Either search on Google, YouTube, or get aptoide and use thAt. It is a android Appstore, illegal stuff is in it along with inappropriate stuff but you can turn that off. Illegal like minecraft full pocket edition free.
Try from there

I have the same problem and just solved it by going to the app store and reinstall vtube-YouTube viewer+downloader(Kindle Tablet Edition) free.
Good luck!

Mine did not work with just a cashe clearing and reset. I had to do the force stop and clear data from within the Applications menu and then a reset.

FYI, it may not be a Silk or Amazon problem, it appears that it may be a You Tube issue.

I've cleared the cache and did a rest and nothing works. I've done it a few times just to see.

New Girl says:
I don't have the device right in front of me but in the settings there should be an option for the Silk Browser that will allow you to clear the cashe. Then if you go into the Applications Settings you can pick Silk and that will give you the option for doing a force stop and clearing the data.

To do the 30 second reset you will want to hold down the power button for 30 seconds (count them) and then release. Press the power button once more and it should reboot.

Unfortunately the best solution is to stop using Silk and go with Dolphin browser. This seems to handle html5 vids without any issues.

Same issue. Was so frustrated I ended up side loading the actual youtube app...which works great except you can't seem to log into it. Also, downloaded dolphin (ver 11) and have no issues playing youtube vids through that. Basically...Silk is my last resort browser. If you want to install Flash to play youtube (flash vids, although html5 works nice and imo is better) you can also download that and it will work with Dolphin browser.
