Whisper sync between iPad and iPhone not working

His reply, "... issues with "The Farseer: Assassin's Apprentice". We have gone ahead and fixed this issue on our end (there was an issue on the back end that was causing the title not to be paired in the system) so you should be able to use the Whispersync for Voice feature between your devices. Please delete both the Kindle eBook and Audible audio book and re-download them and try the sync again."

So sometimes we users are not crazy. It is the ghost in the machine that haunts us. Call Audible. Great folks.

I have found that removing the device from the account, delete the app and then install all over again fixed the ipad synching problem. Hasn't happened since, fingers crossed!

This doesn't work for me either. My iPad and iPhone don't sync to each other. They both just only keep the progress of the books downloaded to them individually. It used to work but hasn't for some time now. Are others still having this issue also?

My wife has the Kindle Fire (1st Gen) and just got an iPhone 5. I installed the Kindle app and had no problems syncing it with her Amazon ID. However she was complaining about the syncing. Apparently I also had to go into her Manage My Kindle page, to to Manage Devices and make sure that Whispersync was turned ON. Now she has no problems syncing to last page read without doing anything when she stops reading - aside from making sure that the Kindle Fire is receiving a wifi signal. Hope this helps.

Maybe I'm wrong but I don't remember reading about a sync at the end being necessary? As usual Apple's products just sync without any intervention.

Syncing across devices devices does not work; I have to find the location on the device last used and then add the location to the device I now want to use. If I just try to sync on the latest device it always says I am at the furthest place on all devices which is of course wrong. I always update so I have the latest version of Kindle on each device. In reading this forum it looks like many folks also have this problem yet I can see no real help (just some telling us to restart the device or to update to the latest version) and NO INFORMATION or even a "screw you" from Amazon. I've tried everything I can think of. Amazon, how about addressing this with your customers?

I just did it to the iPad that was not synching to the other devices. Deregistered and then deleted the app. Installed the app and registered. Everything good.

I was having problems syncing my highlights from the iPad to the Amazon website. I had 61 highlights on the iPad and I only had 5 on the "Your Highlights" webpage. Ended up that because I share my account with my husband we had Wispersync turned off under "Manage My Devices". So be sure you have that turned on.

Amazon really has to get this solved. I am not the only one jumping ship.
I would have never even looked at iBooks without being forced into it.

No reason to buy a kindle book for an iPad. Shame because I have been buying weekly books from Amazon for years. Bummer...but obviously Amazon can't fix.

Just go to your Kindle 2 and sync it up. This thread is about how to synch up the iPad reading location to the Kindle 2 or 3. The other way works great.
