npck: Are you the only person using the account? If your device is registered to an account with other Kindles, it might not be the default destination. On the product page for the book, there's a window below the "buy" button that names the Kindle the title will go to automatically. If there are multiple devices and apps on the account, they will appear in a dropdown box when you click on the little arrow.

Oop's, my bad.

On you computer, go to Manage Your Kindle,

Then make sure that the page opens up to Your Kindle Library.

To the right of each book that you have in your library is a button labeled "Action".

Press the Action button and chose "Send to My", a dialog box will open and you can choose which Kindle device to send it too.

Are you sure it's not a pre-order? And are you sure your wireless is turned on?

I've waited impatiently for books to be delivered, only to realize I had ordered a book that hadn't been released yet or that I hadn't turned on my wireless.

Does the book show up in your Manage Your Kindle page? If so, check on the right for pending deliveries. If it is there, then the next step is to ensure that your wifi is turned on. That should do it.

If it doesn't show in Manage Your Kindle, then you may have to contact Kindle customer service because you could have purchased the book on another account they are the best ones to sort that out. Just click on help in the top menu bar and then contact us button on the next page

@npck

Tap the "Books" on your status bar.

Then tap "Cloud", you should see your book in the Cloud with an arrow pointing down, tap it, and it will be downloaded to you device.

do you have to go in to something on your kindle to retrieve it....or does it just up...dont really no how it works ive just bought it

In reply to an earlier post on Apr 22, 2012 12:06:45 PM PDT
In my experience, within 10 - 20 seconds after clicking the buy button, so long as wireless is turned on.
