Constant ads are not cool

Or when we get at least $15 worth of offer benefits out of them. Only $6 left to go, LOL.

I don't get the text line for some strange reason. I have used 3 offers already, all based on Amazon digital products :-) And, I was a very high advocate of removing the ads. The special offers had suffered so much on the eInk devices, that I didn't want those same offers on the fire. But, the offers are better on the fire HD.

When they become useless as the eInk offers are, I will opt out.

The ads on the Fire are VERY non-intrusive. They show on the sleep mode picture, which is rarely seen, and in a text line at the lower left of the Home Screen. They do not show up in books or any other time you are using the device.

You can pay $15 to opt out of the Special Offers if you want to.

I would consider upgrading from the Fire to the Fire HD based on all the great things I've read. But I just learned that there is advertising on the HD. Those "special offers" don't work for me. Is there a workaround?
