I just got a bluetooth keyyboard for my Kindle Fire HD 6 and it will sync up with Bluetooth just fine but I cant seem to find a mouse type function. It does not have a touchpad or joystick. Do I have to add an external mouse? Guidance would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thank you for sharing this site - it's exactly what I needed to be able to make some informed decisions.

Let's do an update on this discussion. I just got a gift of a Kindle Fire HD 8.9". I'm looking for a good quality Bluetooth keyboard about 11.5 - 12" wide (like the main section of a standard keyboard; i.e. from <CapsLock> to <Enter>). Any recommendations of keyboards that have actually paired well and work well would be appreciated?

Would the recommended keyboard, if any, also work with an iPhone5?

Greg, no, thanks.

I hope my experience will be useful to someeone. I do not sell keyboards; I just use them. I have both the 7 and 8.9 HD Fires.

I have the AmazonBasics Bluetooth Keyboard for iPad, New iPad Mini, iPhone (Black) and the Merkury Innovations Bluetooth Keyboard for iPad/iPhone/iPod (M-BTWK10) and they do work well. No cables or other hardware is required and they come with stands to hold the HD upright so you can easily see what you're doing. They each took two actions to power them on and link them to the Kindle.

Greg Nordling...shame on you for posting your own crap on here...all you want is for people to go to your stupid site! Listen up folks...don't hit Greg Nordling's site. It's just his own information about nothing...and he does not sell the stuff.

I had that same problem, until I disabled my ad blocker, and then all the pictures and links appeared.

This site does not show any keyboards for the Kindle Fire. It says "this keyboard. . . " but shows no pictures, names of keyboards, nor does it give any links. It is useless.

I received a iconic blue tooth keyboard for my kindle fire hd and there are 8 letters that are not responding at all, q,w,e,r,u,i,o,p,
they are not working when connected to the i phone either. Is the keyboard no good, or is it a connection problem?

My girlfriend has and iMac and got a USB keyboard for it, and put the Bluetooth keyboard for Macs in a closet. I dug it out yesterday, put in new batteries and got it to be recognised by my Kindle Fire HD with little effort or problems. The right arrow advances the page in the book and the volume controls on the top row of keys will raise, lower and mute the volume.

There are plenty of used ones around.

Just giving back to these forums that i have gotten so much out of over the years!
