I am very interested in buying a Kindle but I also read a lot of fanfictions.

So is it possible to read fanfiction.net on a Kindle? How does browsing online work? Screen shots would be extra helpful.

Thank you so much.

What is fanfiction? I looked, but didn't really understand.

The best way is to download the fic and read it on the Kindle. Fanfiction Downloader -- available at www.home-eisele.de -- has a "download as mobi" option, and it will chain together all the parts of a story into one file. It's an extra step, but I far prefer the reading experience that way, and then you don't have to worry about the wireless (or fanfiction.net) being flaky and cutting out on you just when you're getting to an interesting part.

I have tried read fanfiction.net on my kindle a few times but it the web is very awkard and slow. What I do is copy the story into a word program and the coverted it for my kindle and then I read it on my kindle. I find reading the fanfiction on my kindle is easyier on my eyes then reading them on reading them on my pc.

Fanfiction is a stories base on a movie, book, tv show, ect, written by fans of that movies, book, tv show. If you go to www.fanfiction.net you will see who they have the site broken down into different movies, books ect ect, to make it easyier to find the what you like to read.
I hope this was helpful.

Sixty percent of the items on my kindle are fanfics. I save the fics I want to read to Word and then convert them over to Kindle format using the mobipocket ereader. After they're converted, I just drag the new file over to the documents folder on the kindle using the usb cable.

Thanks for the information on the FanFiction Downloader. Don't tell anyone but I actually printed out a story after my eyes got too tired to finish reading it on my PC. Oh, the shame of it all... My lovebird shredded the evidence for me though.

I started using FanFiction Downloader yesterday night and it great, now I don't have copy each chapter in to a word file and converted before moving to to my kindle. I would say over 70 percent of what I my kindle is fanfiction. The fanfiction downloader is a real time saver. Thanks again for tells us about it.
