Is there a way to note your personal rating next to the title of a book you'v read on your Kindle?

There is this site (you have to sign in to your account) - although I almost never see it mentioned and always forget about it...

There's no way of showing a rating next to a title on the Kindle. You can a a note to the front of the book with your comments (this does require you to open the book though).

You can go to your collection (click on Your Account - digital content - your collection) and you can rate your books there.

Aavid, you could create a collection for each rating and add books accordingly. Then all your, say, 3 star rated books would be in one collection, 5 stared books in another etc.,

Personally, I find I either think the book is worth reading again or I don't, so mine either go in a "Read Again" Collection or they get deleted.

My sister has 4 collections on her Kindle: 5 Star, 4 Star, 3 Star, and 2 Star. She puts books in the appropriate collection when she's finished. If she rates it a 1 star, she just deletes it. :)

The only other way that I can think of would be to use a program like Calibre. Calibre will import your books from your Kindle and allow you to rename them. You could rename with your personal rating but if you have to re-download the books from the archives, your "new" names are replaced with the old ones.

Thank you all for your help. I really like the idea of using the collections to rate your books.
The reason I like to have some reminder of the degree to which I liked them is so that I know which authors are to my liking.

Great reading all!

You could also review books and then be able to see your rating by clicking on your profile.
