Woohoo Beer Boy too!
Ah. Cinder's whatchamacallit. lol
@R - So. what topic are you going to engross us with today? (Note: engross, not gross)
@C - well, palindromes do beat spitbugs. (Yeah, thanks for the snip snip, R)
@R - Are you being metaphorical? Spitbugs and snip snip in one breath and sucky endings in the next.
@R - Happy endings = good. A rousing song at the end = better
@C - New mouse, yay. Next month?
@R - James Taylor, I recognize. Not the pony one.
@C - Thanks for the kinlib.
@R - You were clicking for 9 hours? egads!
@R/C - eReaderIQ update - is this right? 723 books at 1:40? 723? 723!
@C - Shall we do hotlinks, cross-post now? (before I start browsing) - thanks!
@R - Nigerian?
@R - Ah. Reminds me of when we had that spate of books about Russian brides early on.
ereaderiq updated at 2:40 am, still 723, +/- must be the same.
BBL to check for updates. Sleep time. AFK

Two kinlib updates added to OP. No additions to eReaderIQ, although number has dropped by 5. BBL. AFK.

Hi babel.
Hi Cinder.

Randy
.
.
.
Palindrome!

Spitbugs just trying to make a living. Not so with whatever is eating my hostas. Time for the flashlight. Snip, snip.

Every time, Romeo and Juliette has the same sucky ending. Was watching a show about the Space Shuttles. Same sucky ending there too. Does no one have any imagination?

I like happy endings, not "Flying machines in pieces on the ground."

What is it about that song? I end up all choked up and nearly crying every time I hear it. "Just yesterday morning, they let me know you were gone."

@Cinder. Next month? Mule train?

If I had a boat
I'd go out on the ocean
And if I had a pony
I'd ride him on my boat
And we could all together
Go out on the ocean
I said me upon my pony on my boat

So, I know this is an addiction, now. Yesterday, I finished eReader early. Followed all the links in this thread. Clicked on my wishlist. Clicked on eReader. Same number, drat. Clicked on the thread. Clicked on eReader. Clicked on wishlist. Clicked on thread. Looked at clock. Only 9 hours till 12:40 am. Clicked on eReader...

Lyle Lovett among others. Was at a local hayloft concert and this is the favorite song of the hostess who has a framed poster of a boy and a pony and a boat. The group played the song and we all sang along while the hostess pointed to the characters. Good times.

Off to do tail links. BRB. Done.

Yup. 723. It's gonna be a good day. I hope the Nigerian is absent tonight.

Yesterday, half of the books on eReader were by an author named Biodun Adesina. 1/4 Make a Million on the Internet. 1/4 Nigerian Recipes. 1/4 Blatant religious. 1/4 Medical help for whatever ails you. Busy boy. There had to have been 30 of them.

Good Morning Everybody,

2 from my wishlists. Both are episodes of a series and shorts.

The Dawn of the Raven episode 2- I have episode 1 already

Girl of My Dreams (Burn this Book before Reading) - I have the others in this series/episodic series
Jak's time in Human is coming to a close, and within months he must find a girl with whom he shares the same dreams, not figuratively, but literally. He also has to fight off giant serpents that tried to crush him to death, battle his college roommate with rapist tendencies, and control his own lust with it comes to the easily seducible Human girls. Of course, his fiancee in Faerie hates his guts, and most of his best friends are drunks, bums, and womanizers, but Jak worst problem is that he hopelessly falls for a Human girl who has also learned to despise him...and she is definitely not the one he seeks. Filled with action, humor, and fantasy, this story will touch your Faerie soul.

Now I'm off to the lists.

What mouse did you decide on?

@Randy
You do know you can now check a 3rd source at http://www.dailyfreebooks.com/ (blame Nospin, not me!), right? :D

I know Lyle Lovett is (was?) a singer, but I don't know that I could name any of his songs. I only remember him for the unlikely romance with Julia Roberts.

And, from my wish-list
Hidden in the Shadows
Even the good guys sometimes have secrets they don't want revealed to the rest of the world....
For thirty years, Wyatt Dixon had worn a badge. Sworn to protect and serve, he'd done just that for the people of Olman County, Indiana. He'd even sacrificed his first marriage on the altar of the office of Sheriff. But then the blackmail letter came... And everything he'd worked so hard to build threatened to crumble around him.
Wyatt wasn't the only one to receive a letter, either...
Fighting a deep attraction to a woman he should know better than to become involved with, Wyatt's professional frustration also grows as the investigation is thwarted at every turn by a master extortionist who has the citizens of Olman County, Indiana, in an uproar. With decisions to make that will affect his life and the sheriff's department for a long time to come, Wyatt has to choose - to reach for personal happiness and risk it all, or to walk away from what could be his soul mate.
Come to Leroy, and see just how dangerous small-town living can be. "Hidden in the Shadows" is the fourth book in the Shadows collection, standalone but linked Romantic Suspense novels by T. L. Haddix.

Suburban Task Force- A Best Selling Action Adventure and Chick Lit Series (A Jade Lydell Novel Book 1) (mystery)
Suburban Task Force is a light, humor filled, high octane, action-comedy. It follows Jade Lydell, who at thirty one finds herself living the surreal life of a married suburbanite. Her simple, and now materialistic days are busy with shopping, drinking and playing with couples that live the same high-end lifestyle.

It takes a home invasion scare and a co-workers brutal mugging to wake Jade from her suburban slumber. The adventure begins when she and her two best friends forgo an uplifting spa retreat for an intense tactical, gun and self defense weekend, all without their husbands' knowledge.

Upon their return, feeling rejuvenated and proud, the women try to re-adapt to their suburban lifestyles. Not so easy when you have to attend a VIP party on Catalina Island with the who's who of Hollywood and Politics. Without warning, the island is taken hostage by a rogue terrorist group. With the men and women separated, and all outside communication cut off, Jade and her friends feel their only hope is to use their combined talents and outlandish movie knowledge to outsmart their captors.

Comedy and daring action ensue as the three women, with one weekend of self defense training, try to lead an all out attack against those holding their loved ones hostage.

A Bid For Love: (Deal for Love, Book 1) (Love Series) (romance, possibly inspirational fiction))
Cassi is the head buyer for a prestigious art gallery in California. Jared is a buyer for an exclusive New York gallery. Sparks fly as the two come head to head in a bidding war for a hideous but very expensive Indian Buddha from the Kushan period. Each is determined to win the statue, but others also want the Buddha-at any cost. Thugs, art forgers, the FBI, or Jared's beautiful and alluring boss . . . who will end up with the statue? During a string of hair-raising exploits, Cassi and Jared are forced to develop a tentative friendship that deepens into romance. Will they survive long enough to see it through?

Best-selling author Rachel Ann Nunes has crafted a wonderfully intriguing and romantic drama in this fast-moving novel, bringing two idealistic young people together from opposite edges of the continent and allowing them, in their own way, to find an unexpected connection. In the end, their very lives depend on the trust they've developed. If you love romance and excitement that you're not embarassed to share with your daughter or your mother, you'll be captivated by A Bid for Love.

Growing Roses - Everything You Need to Know and More. . . (maybe it will help!)

Axeman's Jazz: A Female Sleuth, a Serial Killer, an Offbeat New Orleans Setting (The Skip Langdon Series Book 2) (mystery)

Previously picked up:
Willowtree (Bruce DelReno Mysteries Book 1) (cozy mystery)
In this cozy mystery Bruce DelReno, retired mailman and avid golfer finds a body near the golf course. He attempts to link this to other murders, which he sees connected to the entanglements and secrets of a group of locoweed smoking locals. His friend, an Apache Indian, becomes involved and supplies much of the dry humor. Much of the story takes place at the golf course, a favorite restaurant, and a nearby ranch, in the fictitious town of Willowtree, AZ.

A Good Time To Die (mystery)
The time is the present. At Cambridge University Hospital a battle is being fought. A battle that is fought daily at hospitals throughout the country. The battle lines are drawn over the question of cost.

In these days of ever tightening budgets and HMO encroachment, hospitals need to act more and more like every other business. If they plan to survive in the long run, they need to control expenses. Unfortunately, providing health care can be quite expensive, and if a patient does not have insurance or is unable to pay, the hospital has no choice but to sustain a loss. No legal choice, that is.

At Cambridge University Hospital Dr. Randy Hill (a physician administrator) has devised an economic plan that includes the elimination of certain costly patients. These are usually elderly, chronically ill patients for whom a slightly premature demise would not be suspicious. But when Michael Santucci unexpectedly passes away, the sparks begin to fly.

Michael Santucci was no ordinary patient. He was a clandestine informer in a major drug smuggling case. Unbeknownst to Dr. Hill, he was also not ill. The DEA, with the grudging help of Dr. Rick Embry, was hiding their star witness in plain view. A plan that was supposed to confound a vengeful Mafia.

Mr. Santucci's mysterious death leads to a desperate search for his killer (or was it a natural death?) as well as for the massive cocaine shipment, details of which Santucci had not yet disclosed.

The search leads to peril for Dr. Hill, as well as unexpected romance. Both build to a crescendo as plot twists converge towards a gripping final battle fought within the hospital.

Death on Route 37: Book 1 of the Detective Inspector Harty mysteries (mystery)
A murder during a robbery on a double-deck bus on the outskirts of an English rural town leaves the local police baffled as to motive. Further related deaths makes the apprehension of the killer a top prority for Detective Inspector Harty but the lack of clues makes this a difficult case to solve.

I don't know where you live--I'm in the far north and a friend of mine swears that covering her roses in the winter with a "pile" of peat moss is the way to go. She cuts her roses back, covers them, then in the spring they're growing like crazy. Just a thought.
