Diane says:
why are my kindle book purchases no longer downloading to my kindle but to my wish list?

Artist says:
Are you clicking on Buy, or clicking on Wish List? Because books don't ever DOWNLOAD to a wish list, the title just gets added to a list and you're not charged for them.

Diane says:
It no longer gives me the option to buy...only add to wish list. The message on my kindle reads: This mobile site does not currently support the purchase of this item. Add it to your Wish List and you can view & purchase it from your computer. I get this message with every item I try to purchase.
My wireless IS turned on.

Are you trying to buy from an iPad/iPhone/iPod? If so, in-app purchasing has been disabled for over a year. You'll have to purchase through the browser.

No, no, no, Diane. Don't give us any information. That would take all the fun out of guessing what you're doing. First you mention my kindle and then a mobile device. They mystery is wonderful.

Patrick...
No mysteries...If you carefully read my post, I'm quoting verbatim the message that appears on my KINDLE. Hence the colon punctuation.

Go here to see which Kindle you have - http://amazon.com/help/kindle/which

Are you trying to buy books through the Kindle Store on the device (Home->Menu->Shop in Kindle Store), or are you using the browser to go to amazon.com?

Have you tried rebooting your Kindle? If not, unplug it, then press or slide and hold the power button for a full 30 seconds. Release and wait a few minutes for it to restart.

So a Kindle Keyboard or a Kindle Touch? Those are the only two that have wi-fi and 3G.

Are you trying to purchase an audio book over 3G, by any chance? Those will only d/l over wi-fi.

Sorry it's the Touch. Just trying to purchase a reading book w/my Kindle Wifi, from the Kindle Store. I've not tried rebooting but will. Appreciate your help

I rebooted and I retried purchasing. When pressing click here to get my free copy, it connects to Amazon and gives me the option to add the item to my wish list. The message that appears below the picture of the book is..."This mobile site does not currently support the purchase of this item. Add it to your Wish List and you can view & purchase it from your computer".

You should contact Kindle Customer Service. http://www.amazon.com/kindlesupport

Click the Contact Us button on the right, then select your preferred contact method. I'd recommend having them call you.

Wait. What do you mean by "...get my free copy..."? What book are you trying to purchase?

In reply to an earlier post on Jun 21, 2012 8:59:35 AM PDT
Are you using the experimental browser or the Kindle store option from the menu?

This is making less and less sense.

I wish she'd tell us which book. I wonder if it's a book that's not available for the e-ink Kindles...like a children's picture book or graphic novel or something like that.

In reply to an earlier post on Jun 21, 2012 9:08:52 AM PDT
Cassie Anne says:
What's the title of the book? Are you buying it from that site? Or from Amazon?

In reply to an earlier post on Jun 21, 2012 9:55:29 AM PDT
 Ann says:
It's difficult for us to help you when you give us information in bits and pieces. Let me see if I understand what you're doing:

You have a subscription to the Free Kindle Books and Tips blog on your Kindle Touch.
You click on a link in the blog and it takes you to a product page for the book (Is it opening a page the web browser? Is it an Amazon page, or a 3rd-party site? )
On that page, you only have the option to add to your wish list.

Is that correct?

Try this:

From the Home page on your Kindle, tap Menu -> Shop in Kindle Store.
Tap the Search box at the top of the page and type in the book title.
If the book comes up in the search results, tap on it and see if you can buy it from there.

You could also look for the book on the Amazon website on your computer. If it's available, you can buy it from the website and have it delivered to your Kindle.

Cassie Anne says:
A review on that blog (left yesterday) says that the links in the blog opens books' pages using the browser, rather than the Kindle storefront.

I don't subscribe to the blog, and I don't have a Touch, so I can't recreate the OP's problem.

In reply to an earlier post on Jun 21, 2012 11:55:58 AM PDT
That is unfamiliar. Is that part of THIS site? What's the link?

In reply to an earlier post on Jun 21, 2012 11:56:51 AM PDT
Yeah, it's sounding more and more like some aspect of either a site, a setting, or a restriction of some kind that the OP hasn't figured out yet.

Diane says:
The problem is not with any one particular book, it is with all books that I try to "purchase" through my daily upload of Free Kindle Books & Tips. Spoke w/Amazon they are aware of the issue and are working on a resolution.
Thanks
