So... A gift card from a store that is closed isn't able to be used at stores that have nothing to do with the store that is closed?

It has been REALLY slow in here today.

I think I'll call Amazon and see if I can redeem some old Green Stamps I found in the pages of an old book.

The rep must have been sick the day they discussed that in their daily meeting.

I found a 10 Deutschmark bill tucked between some old photos from a trip I took to Germany as a teenager in 1991. I think I'll take it down to the taco shack and see if I can buy lunch with it.

Wait, what? Germany went out of business? Holy wow!

No, don't blame you for trying, just trying to get the moral of the story. :-)

If I didn't post on these forums I wouldn't know it either. I've never even seen a Borders.

So what if the rep did not know that Borders was closed, it does not change the answer that you cannot use the Borders gift card on Amazon.

Why would Amazon accept a gift card from another store anyway, they did not get the money for the gift card when it was purchased. Expecting them to take it is not reasonable or logical in any form.

I wonder if Amazon would accept my $25 VIP discount card from The Landing Strip?

Unlike the Constant Posters on this forum, Amazon CS employees are not obsessed about the book business.

Was the customer service call based in the U.S or out of country? If out of country would explain why they have no clue who borders was. Mary
