No Book Cover Art. All Book Covers are grey.

This problem should not exist for a $200 Ebook reader. Help anyone?

Well, with a detailed explanation of the problem such as this, a solution should be quick and easy. Now, hold on a second while I hook up my mind-reading device. brb.

Danny, try syncing. Go to Settings (the gear) and then Sync.

I'm having the same problem. Have tried all the suggestions about clearing data for kindle, browser and app store with limited success (some covers & icons come back but not others). Would love to hear a permanent fix if anyone has one.

I am experiencing this issue as well, but only intermittently. It's strange because I can see the cover image in the archive but not in the carousel. It's only happening on like every tenth book and about half the time with my personal documents. The other weird thing is that I sometimes get different cover images on different devices...today I bought "The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie," and it looks fine on my android but on the Fire it's a really bland, generic cover, sort of like the "classics" covers. It just shows the book title and author's name against a patterned background. Shutting down and synching hasn't helped so far. Has anyone else found a fix for this issue?

Kieri - Since my last post on Dec. 6th, I've discovered that this works.

From the Home screen:

* Settings (gear icon) > More...> Applications
* Set filter to "All Applications"
* Swipe down to the Amazon Kindle App
* Clear Data

It may take a few minutes for all of your books to reappear. Despite the warnings you will not lose your books by doing this.
