well, my question is, how do I check the CAPACITY of my Kindle? I'm going on a trip and would like to load up on new books, but don't want to have to deleted some of my favorites yet.

While on the homepage, click the menu button and the along the top left of the screen you will see how much space you have.

For the record, you can delete all the books you want from the Kindle. If you bought them at Amazon, they'll still be in your account and you can download them again whenever you want (provided you're in a place you can access wireless or can download via usb from your computer).
