I am new to the Kindle family. I have two daughters that are a year apart so I decided to buy each of them the new kindle fire.. do they have to be on the same account? Is content shareable? Does the content have to be on one kindle at a time? Is.there anything else I should know related to the subject? I basically want the same content on each kindle for my girls.

M. Valmyre, using one account is the best way to share content between devices. Books are available to both at the same time, unless the simultaneous use license is restricted to just 1 device. The default is usually 6, but can vary.

How old are the girls?

If you want them to share content, they must both be registered to the same account. The content can be on both at the same time. In October, there will be an update to the software that will allow you to control what each of them can see and/or access on their individual devices.

I have a 3 and 4- year old, I know they are young but my 6 year old nephew has one and they absolutely love it! Another question... So when I purchase a book, will automatically be available on the kindles? (after logging on the internet)

Thank you! I appreciate the feedback. I was beginning to think I would have to buy everything twice?
