I am trying to adjust my kindle from turning off when I listen to music and meditation scripts. Does anyone know a way to fix this?

Melissa, when it "turns off", the audio keeps playing, right? It does on mine.

You can change the screen timeout, though:

Thanks for trying to help but mine shuts off totally! The screen goes black after a bit but within about 20 minutes, the entire kindle shuts off. I'm ok with the screen not staying on but would really love to figure out how to keep the device on.

Melissa, what you are describing is not normal; I've listened to text-to-speech for more than an hour straight in my car.

I'd contact Kindle Support:

No, I haven't figured out how to stop it from shutting off. I adjusted the time for one hour, but have not figured out how to halt the automatic time off altogether...? I guess I'm going to have to contact technical support.

Is there a way to set an inactivity timer for music so after like 45min. ,or so, it shuts off? So that i can go to sleep with music on, and it wont keep playing all night long?

Hi. I still have my very first kindle (1st gen) and it still works perfectly, but my hubby got me the fire hd10. I like it but I miss the automatic shut off if I didn't touch it for 10 min. My new one goes to sleep but I want it to shut completely off. Is there such a feature? I've been looking but haven't found it.
