So im getting a replacement Kindle Fire in a couple of days. How do i carry all my files and saves from games and stuff? Some games i can find the saves and others i cant. Can i just save everything from my first Fire into a folder on my pc then after i update my new Fire to the correct version (6.2.1) just drag all 5gbs of data and saves over and just press "Copy and Replace"? Or will that "F" things up? i Dont wana start all my games over lol.. #DeadSpace

When your new Fire arrives just register it to the same account and everything will be there after setting it up and Syncing. You can't transfer stuff the way you mentioned as everything is coded to work on a specific device and wouldn't work on your new Fire. It would definitely eff things up! ;-)

You will have to start from scratch. All of your games and books and music are stored in the cloud. You will have download them again and start over on each one.

Ahhh man! Lol see im going on a trip to colorado and I'll have my current kindle n when I get back I should have my replacement. 14 hours total of play with fire.. so even for the games where i can find the saves i cant bring them over because of coding? Like plants versus zombies and asphalt 6 I can find the actual save profile files. Basically I can't find desert combat, simcity, and dead space.

Cole -Have a nice time in Colorado. The weather's great here right now.

Sorry, I don't know anything about the save files. I play Plants vs. Zombies and don't know what you're talking about. Is it the levels you get to?

I certainly am disappointed that Amazon can't save your saved SIMs and other game data in the Cloud when you have to have your Fire replaced........having to start from scratch really is disappointing and frustrating. However, their customer service is terrific; I got my replacement Fire in two days.

This was disappointing. I just got a replacement kindle and this will be the second time I have to start over my smurf village. And I made it further this time. I am not looking forward to starting over and losing my smurf berries.

CatChat says:
some of the game apps will have a "sync game" in the options menu. so anyone transferring a game app might want to check on that before they start over from scratch on a game.
