PERMANENTLY remove books from kindle for Mac

I've followed all the suggestions I can find, but they still appear in the archived list. Why does it have to be so complicated?

Can anyone help?

I already know that I will have to repurchase and all that. I simply want to delete them (already did it through 'manage your kindle' and have synced my Kindle many times) and have them never appear again.

Have you tried to download them once they've been deleted from MYK? Have you closed and re-opened Kindle for Mac? Have you deleted and then re-installed Kindle for Mac?

Thank you Fud53. Now I know why it seemed so complicated. After RE-reading the instructions the results are the same. Any helpful suggestions?

Cassie Anne, no I have not tried all of your suggestions. I have closed and reopened a number of times, always confirming that they are still deleted (on the 'manage your kindle' page), still listed in the archived list. I'm going to give your suggestions a try. Thanks.

Cassie Anne, just wanted to say thanks again. I tried your suggestions, and while they didn't work they led me to another ... de-registering, then re-registering. That did the trick. It seems like Kindle could make the process more user-friendly (just click 'delete' and they're gone) but I suppose its a safe-guard for folks who MIGHT want to read the content again.

I have deleted the books from MYK, closed and re-opened, de-registered and re-registered and yet the archived books remain in my archive list for my kindle for mac. Any other suggestions?

Each item to be deleted takes a rather long time. you click. you tell it, delete from library. then you wait. If you were on page 2, you come back on page 1 and have to go to the page where you want to delete items. Is there a way that is less tedious?

No, there isn't a less tedious way. You can go to your 'Manage Your Kindle' page here at Amazon. Just go to any Kindle book page and there'll be a Manage My Kindle link at the top right.

Then you can delete from there. It's slightly easier.

Thanks. I'll try that. Anything that makes it a little better is good.

Go to home page press press Books on the top of page. Press device then press and hold on the book. It will ask if you want to remove from device then press. If the book you want to remove is not on the device and its in the cloud, go and press cloud and press the books you want removed. Now return to device and books you want removed should be there.
