Are you in the US?

Where are these videos from that won't play? Amazon? Are they rented, purchased or streaming videos? Do you get an error message?

On the Kindle Fire can you add an sd card for more memory?

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 13, 2012 12:49:17 PM PST
Bixillarla says:
Nope. There are no card slots.

You can use a WiFi drive for additional storage.

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 13, 2012 12:49:18 PM PST
No, you can't. The only Kindle that had an SD card slot was the first one.

valeriegoberla - If it says "buffering" your wi fi connection is not strong/good enough to play the video. The reason you can play them on your iphone is probably because the phone is accessing the videos through 3G/4G, not wi fi.

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 13, 2012 12:55:20 PM PST
OK so it would be strong enough for the facebook and all just not video? So I need to call my internet service provider? It's not the Kindle then?

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 13, 2012 12:59:28 PM PST
Well, I would connect a laptop or netbook to your wi fi and see if you can stream the same video through that. If you can, it might be the kindle. If you can't, it's the strength/speed of your internet connection.

Well, that's it...I can watch it on the laptop. That's why I figured it had to be the kindle. But what do I do about that? Anyway to fix it? Frusterated!!

Try a hard reboot on the Fire:

With the Fire charged but unplugged from the charger, press and hold the power button for 30 full seconds. After the Fire cycles off completely, press the power button once to turn it back on.

If that doesn't help, contact Kindle Customer Service. There is a "help" link on the top of this page.

Also, don't forget that the Kindle Fire doesn't support Flash. If you're trying to watch movies in a browser it's not going to work.

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 13, 2012 1:29:18 PM PST
True - You can install flash and a flash supporting browser to get around that. I have flash running on my Fire HD just fine.
