I received my Kindle Fire today but I cannot figure out how to download apps like the wifi analyzer. Thanks for your help.

I must be doing something wrong. I downloaded several apps and I got a thank you page. But I cannot find them to install. I went to apps but they are not there. How do I do this?

After you purchase an app on your computer, pick up the Kindle Fire and go to "Shopping". Click on the app tab. The desired app will be there, only this time when you click on it, you won't be prompted to purchase. Instead you can go directly to download.

Seems like an odd system to me, but that's what I'm finding at the moment.

I have the Fire HD -- have downloaded several apps on the web (laptop), but when I go to the apps/store on Kindle....nothing

Look for it just as you would if you were purchasing. The price may still show, but when you click on it, it won't prompt you to buy. It will just prompt you to download.

Weird system.

Tried that....select the Free button, then Get App and it tells me I already own it -- please find it in the apps library. Go there....nada

You need to swipe your finger down the top of the screen (with the kindle standing up longways and the power button on top). This will bring up a row of options -unlocked volume brightness wireless sync more. Press Sync this will 'unlock' your app.

thank you very much for your correct information for finding/download a new app. It is a strange problem. Someone should add this topic to help for KIndle fire HD.
