I'm wondering if I may need to reset my Kindle Fire to default settings possibly because I'm having trouble accessing my internet home page (the same as on my desktop which it used to do). In addition Youtube no longer shows anything on it. When I click on a choice it says I can't see this video because "An error occured. The video may have been interrupted or is an unsupported format." I'm also having problems getting my password recognized although I am able to get to my e-mail (strange).
If I reset to default settings it says I will lose all the apps I paid for. Is this true? I did erase all cookie files earlier (wondered if this connected in some way. I did reset it to allow cookies).

Can anyone help here.

Thanks

All of the content you purchased through Amazon will still be in your cloud storage.

You won't lose any apps you've bought, they'll still be in the cloud.

All will be removed from your Kindle, but you can redownload them from your cloud drive at no cost to you.

I actually tried a hard reset and everything returned to normal! For a non-techy type I was very pleased. Thanks to Jazzy Jeff, Angie and Mary Ellison for your help.

How does one do a "hard reset" on a Kindle Fire?

@Walter: Press and hold the power button for 20 seconds and then release. After the device has completely turned off, press the power button to restart your Kindle Fire.
