Hi guys I just purchased my first book from Amozon for my iPad 3 kindle all went well, but now when I go to my kindle app I can see the book cover on both the cloud and device tabs but the download shows 0 % and does not download. I am connected to WiFi. I am typing this question on the iPad so the inet is working. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your reply

What book is it? Some books are not compatible for every device.

Yes, what's the book? Lately we've seen some that will work on iPhones and iPods, but not iPads. Give us the title and we can check it out.

Wow I do not believe it all of a sudden it has started to download. I have been tearing my hair out for the last 3 hours. Thanks guys enjoy the day.
Well that was short lived, the book downloaded but when I tried to open it it gave me an error and says I should delete it and re download it. I have just done that now I am back to 0% and not down loading. I am using my iPad 3 with kindle app which I re installed today. The book is unfair advantage by Robert Kiyosaki

Hi,
I purchased the book "Rumi: A Photographic Gallery of Inspirational Quotes," and the book won't download. The title is on the home page, but when I click on it I get a message that reads:
"now downloading the selected item. It will automatically open when the download is complete." But nothing happens, no download. Could it be because of the photos? My Kindle is one of the first models.

Thanks,

Doreen

Did you click the link to see which devices support it? Apparently it won't work on Kindle 1, Kindle 2 or Kindle DX, but then I don't know if you're referring to a Kindle reader or a Kindle Fire tablet.

Also, did you notice it's only 12 pages? Even 12 pages of photos shouldn't take very long to download. Have you checked your internet connection speed?

ETA: I can't get a sample to download to a supported device but maybe there is no sample available for a 12 pager.

I was able to view a sample on my 8.9 HD Fire. Works fine.

That's interesting. I tried more than once on several devices. Maybe one or more devices are on the list when they shouldn't be.

No, I didn't realize there was a link to see which devices support a download. Thanks for letting me know that. I believe my Kindle is first generation, so that would make sense. Thanks again.

Each digital product will have a little toggle for "available for" to make sure.

You're welcome. You know how to get a refund?

You have 7 days to 'return' an ebook purchase from Amazon. Just go to your Manage Content/Devices library on the Amazon site...

Yes, I was asking her if she knew how.

On the Manage Your Content and Devices page, go to the drop-down box to the right of that title and choose Return for Refund. Or you can contact customer service to request a refund.

I was just reading some other threads, come to find out there's a glitch and others are unable to get some e-books to download. I just now received the sample I was waiting for yesterday. You might want to try this one again. Be aware the text is in two columns and there is some other fancy formatting which could also make it take longer to download, and if you do have any more problems, customer service is a phone call/chat away.
