Any ideas to "unfreeze" a Kindle App on the Ipad? I opened up the App to download a new book, and the only control that would work for me was the Search function. All other choices were nonresponsive. I've closed and opened the app several times with no luck.

Reboot the device. Hold the power button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide it and wait for it shut down. Press the power button again and wait until the apple goes away.

DID NOT work at all for me. The Kindle app was deleted, and I lost all the data that wasn't an Amazon purchase.

Sounds like your iPad didn't like the Kindle app.

I have an iPad linked to my kindle and pc ,but last week , my iPad just froze on the index page and just will not do anything. Both the pc and kindle work fine can someone tell me what to do

Reset the iPad

While it's not plugged in --

Press and hold both the home button and power button together until the screen goes black.

Next, release ONLY the home button, continuing to hold the power button until the apple comes up.

Release the power button now and wait for the Slide to Unlock screen to appear.

Kindle App on iPad and iPhone will not respond. Can not open books and if the book does open it will not change to the next page.

There's a bug in the app as you should know from the other thread. Even if you had a question, there's nothing anyone can do about it.

We're just going to have to wait on them. LOL after I got it going once I managed to get my cookbooks loaded on before it froze again.

My husband and I opened the Amazon Store apps on our iPads and then clicked on the Kindle store and opened "manage your content and devices". From there, we can scroll or search for books and read them in the cloud. Not perfect but it helps until the problem is fixed.

Up until the past few days I never had an issue with my Kindle app on my ipad. Then the iPad updated and now the app freezes all the time. So annoying.

CS is aware and they're just telling people they know and are on it. Not everyone seems to be having the problem but the latest apple update doesn't seem to be compatible with the kindle update.

For iPad users who are running 9.3 on their iPad, there is another small update to 9.3.1

It may solve the issue with the Kindle app.

I never had a problem before the new update. It just frozen. The only way it worked for a few minutes was to remove the aplication and downloading again. It worked just fine but as soon as I finished reading and leave the room and I want to start reading again , it's frozen again. I send an email to kindle and they told me I have to wait several days to them to work the problem. I have been closing and opening the kindle app several times and out the blue start working , but then again as soon as I leave the app it frozen again.

Well at least it's not a holiday weekend. I'd done the apple updates first and they both still worked. They didn't freeze until after the kindle update. Too bad I didn't see the posts in here first. I would have waited.
