Does the Kindle Fire HD come with preinstalled Adobe Flash player? If not, how do you watch certain contents that require the Adobe flash player? I'm looking for a good, inexpensive tablet that has adobe flash player. Thanks

Adobe discontinued supporting Flash on Android devices, so the Kindle Fire HD models do not come with Flash.

You can load Flash from sites onto your Fire. Search this forum for Flash. You will have to sort through quite a few results to find those that have the instructions.

That's a big negative.

There isn't an Android tablet on the present market that will have Flash pre-installed.

That was a decision by Adobe to pull support for Flash on Android devices.

The Experimental Streaming Viewer allows you to view some Flash videos on the web using Silk.

Go to the Web tab > Menu > Settings > Accelerated page loading > turn on.

This will turn on two other settings:
- Enable Flash Forward
- Prompt for experimental streaming viewer

Complete information is here, including how to use the viewer:

You need to have the latest software update to use this:

If that doesn't give you the desired results:

To install Flash: (You have to have a Flash compatible browser in order to install Flash. You can't install it under Silk.)

Do the following on the Fire / Fire HD itself:

Swipe down from the top > More > Device > Allow Installation of Applications.

*Install ES File Explorer: ES File Explorer

Download and install the Dolphin HD and Flash Player apk files from these links:

Dolphin HD:

Once both files are downloaded to your Fire, open ES File Explorer and look in the "Downloads" folder. You should see both files there.

Install Dolphin HD *first* by tapping on the icon. Then Install Flash by tapping on the icon.

When you launch the Dolphin browser, go into the settings and make sure "User Agent" is set to "Desktop."
