Holy cr@p! The battery on my KK has been running out faster than normal so I checked to see if I had anything stuck indexing. The number of items not yet indexed was 289! And you can't delete from that list. It is working on them though. It's down to 285 items now.

Been buying a lot of books?
That's a lot! Poor KK is getting a workout.

Yup, that is why I never put more than 20 books on at one time and check indexing before adding more.

Most of them are old books that have been on the Kindle for a year of more.

That's the weird thing, I've only put 15 new books on it over the past month. No marathon download sessions.

Any way the index files could have gotten deleted? Been hooked up to a PC lately?
that's weird.
Maybe it was bored and created job for itself :)

That is weird. Maybe it crashed or something and had to reload everything. I guess that could happen.

I'm thinking this has been going on for few days. I have had it hooked up to my PC to get Calibre in sync. I also do a soft reset about once a month. I suppose one of those things could have damaged the index file. Oh well, at the rate it's going it should be finished by morning. I'll just leave it plugged in and check it tomorrow.

Yeah...definitely leave it plugged in.

I had that happen once before after an upgrade and restart. PITA, but left it plugged in and worked through it. All was OK after they finished indexing. Never figured out why it happened that one time.

Yeah, I'm leaning towards the restart I did over the weekend as the culprit. It's working fine other than the quick battery drain.
