me says:
I am new to the Kindle Fire. I noticed that my ATT wireless connection stays on, even after I shut my Kindle Fire down. Do I need to shut off the WIFI connection every time I turn off my Kindle Fire? Seems that the battery would run down if the Fire is off, but the tablet is still searching for an internet connection.

It's personal preference. I turn off wifi whenever I'm not using it on the Fire to save battery life--your mileage may vary.
