How do I get my kindle books from 'the cloud?"

Until last week, my kindle books were downloaded directly to my kindle ready to read. But on Friday, when I purchased a few books and waited for them to appear on my kindle, nothing happened. I signed back onto Amazon.com and the purchased books were in a "cloud." How can I get them to my kindle now? Thanks for your help!

From your Kindle, turn on the wireless/3G/WiFi, then look at the Archive Folder. Select the book/s you want and they should download to the device.

Did you register the app to your Amazon account?

Same here. As a matter of fact I am close to SHOOTING my Kindle and buying a Rook..... It's driving me crazy recently. It worked fine when I bought it but now????? Jeeezz. Oh, I bought mine 2/10/12 or so and it went crazy on 3/20/12.

I just found that having a bad date/time prevents books in the cloud from showing up. I just went and manually entered the date/time in my iPod, restarted the Kindle app and all the books in the cloud showed up.

I think you meant "Nook", not "Rook".

And I'm sure you'll have a grand old time re-purchasing all the books that you have on your Kindle for your Nook.

Ta Ta!

It is still under warranty. Tell Customer Service before next month.
