The Masuda Affair (A Sugawara Akitada Novel) - for those collecting this series (like me!) the author announced that Rashomon Gate (A Sugawara Akitada Novel) NOT CURRENTLY FREE will be free TOMORROW Sunday. I do like this series very much; Parker re-creates not only the setting but the feel of medieval Japan. It's as close as I'll get to time-travelling. And they are good mysteries.

I've also picked up:
Simple 6" x 6" Quilt Block Patterns (Little Quilt Ladies Pattern Series)

Good morning, everyone! Lovely day today. Thank you, J. Paling, for getting us off to a great start, and to your wingers for their support. I really appreciate your staying up late or setting the alarm to get up extra-early to start the thread. Was thinking I could stay up late tonight to cheer you on, since we "spring forward" at 2 a.m. and it'll officially only be 3 a.m. instead of 4. Does PST also switch?

Anyway, I had a quick glance at all your choices and picked up 3 for now:
* Murder at Park Place (A Mia Roberts Girl Detective Mystery)
* The Masuda Affair (A Sugawara Akitada Novel)

Thank you, all, for your links. I'll be back this aft to look at kinlib and post. See you then. Cheers.

Hello everyone, this is the first time I've really posted on here.

Tellus Tales, Volume 1 - AXE by Brian Berg, a start of a new series of short fantasy/adventure stories, taking a look at the magical world of Tellus.

A friend of mine recommended it to me, saying it's like the Conan type stories (personally I haven't read them, but I did find this book a good read).

Good morning, lovely people. I have to post this--just opened the discussion on books that are copies of other author's works and was disgusted, appalled, and angry at the comments and blatant bullying going on there. That is exactly why I should never read any other discussions other than this or Alex's!!! There are some very, very, very not nice people out here. Thank you all for being who you are--a concerned, nice, civilized, just great-to-be around gathering of human beings.

I, too, would love a Grandma review of How to Cook Healthy & Natural Snacks (Cheap, Easy & Incredible Natural Recipes) as well as How to Cook Healthy & Natural Lunches (Cheap, Easy & Incredible Natural Recipes).

The reviews look suspicious to me. It is nice to know when not to waste your ingredients.

The Bone Polisher (Simeon Grist Mystery) love the title; this is the last novel in a mystery series'detective seraches for serial killer preying on Hollywood gay men; I don't do serial kilers as a rule, but the description sounded like more than just a chase

Black Shadows (Errol Black) historical mystery, my weakness; New Jersey, 1935-1945, rook ie detective gets mixed up with Irish mob, priceless diamond

Haftmann's Rules think I have read short stories by this author; mystery

The Masuda Affair (A Sugawara Akitada Novel)11th century Japan mystery, others in the series have been offered previously; I read it in DTB, great series

Chained In Time (Rutter Books)thriller; Jack the ripper returns

Well, I tried Kinlib this morning, and though I looked at more books because the covers were full size, it takes too long, I like skimming ereaderiq pages better. So quitting to get on errands, will come back tonite and finish up....
