That poor cat is used to the breeze. :) I keep cookbooks on my iPad, but as for real reading I totally agree about the Touch. I love that thing!

I played with one at Best Buy and loved it. I had bought the regular touch kindle but didnt like the gray pages so returned it. Cant wait to see the Kindle with the glowlight coming out.

The whole point is to NOT strain your eyes with the backlit screen. The Kindle readers have the e-ink screen so you can read as if it is a book. Like a book, you add a front light to read and can also read in the sunlight with no glare. Can't do that with backlighting. So the new Kindle reader will have to have front lighting, not back lighting.

I just reduce the light intensity on my Fire when it feels to bright after reading a long time. Also I change the color background and the font size and type, the variety helps when it's a book I just can't put down.

I am seeing nothing on Amazon about anything new! Don't know where to look for new Paperwhite or anything else new. Why is it not on Amazon???

It will be. Just keep refreshing the page. They said "Order Today" in the press conference so they're probably updating the pages now.
