Madam Wingnut, Esq., has displayed amazing self-control. She has not answered the reviews of her memoir.

Melissa,
It is so good to hear about your husband, that the procedure went well and he is home. Is there anyone there to help the two of you?
I hope so. ((((()))) to you, husband and the whole family. Take care.

Grandma says:
Yeah - easy money. They spend a couple of hours hunting up recipes and throwing them into a Kindle and even if they only actually sell a hundred copies at $2.99 per they are going to rake in 70% of that so $209 or so on 100 copies. That isn't bad money for something that couldn't take more than a few hours tops.

It's so very discouraging to see all the plagiarized garbage out there -- and repeatedly out there. It's hard work putting together a real cookbook that's going to be useful to people, and these folks who are plagiarizing, cutting & pasting, and throwing together a mess, just make people suspicious of all indie cookbooks.

In reply to an earlier post on Apr 26, 2012 7:45:46 PM PDT
Grandma says:
Isn't that the truth AmeliaAT. I have a family cookbook I put together a couple of years ago that I would like to see in print, considered Kindle for and will probably pass. Just the last week or two I've had ideas for three smaller books I could put together very quickly, but am seriously leery of the whole Kindle cookbook idea. They've really given indie cookbook authors a very bad name.

greyhounded says:
That is so sad for those of us who would purchase any cookbook you wrote in a second. Are you hopefully considering a printed version?

In reply to an earlier post on Apr 26, 2012 7:51:19 PM PDT
Grandma says:
I may do a print on demand greyhounded. The shorter ones I think many people actually would find very helpful. I guess I need to think about it some more.

Can I pre-order?

In reply to an earlier post on Apr 26, 2012 7:57:17 PM PDT
AmeliaAT says:
Maybe she's not seen them yet? It is surprising that she hasn't responded. But maybe she's just complained to Ammy about them. Who knows. I think I'd be scared if I understood how her mind operated! LOL!

There are some interviews with her on Youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2TKLjISFzQc

At the risk of sounding unkind, her profile photograph is, how shall I say this, ... not very recent.

Why not think big, Grandma. Find an agent and a publisher. There will always be a need for good cookbooks, and let's face it a printed cookbook is just easier in the kitchen.

Grandma thinking, thinking, thinking ...

Can I pre-order, too.

Well that explains why she didn't sleep with Mitt Romney....... He didn't ask......

Sorry, I know that was rude, but during an interview you would think she wouldnt be so sloppy and would carry herself a bit better. YUCK & ICK!!!

Happy Birthday Micki

Melissa, I am thrilled the news is as good as it is. Don't over do.

I've checked in a few times and I have tried to take everyone's back but haven't and probably won't catch up.

Grandma, put me down for a pre-order.

ETC

My best to you all! Thanks for the posts!

Grandma says:
The short skinny on "Law Truther" is that she thinks that the laws that allow custodial parents to actually collect a fair share of child support are "unfair" to non-custodial fathers.

I'll think about that pre-order business )

Put me down for a pre-order also Grandma. (Even if you did steal my cornbread recipe) Gee, I'd like to have a piece right now, hot from the oven, brown and crisp, thick crust. I could eat the whole skillet. Have I made anyone else hungry?
