Good books for a teenage girl?

The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie: A Flavia de Luce Mystery by Alan Bradley -- I just finished it, and enjoyed the precocious, pedantic 11-year-old heroine. It's not so much a 'kid's' book, despite the age of the detective. It's the first in a series.

The Passage: A Novel by Justin Cronin -- I've not read this one, but am hearing that it's great from people I trust. It's extremely long, so a good one to read electronically. It's the first in a trilogy.

Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman -- I've never been to London, but this story takes place in an alternative/parallel universe-London. I enjoyed it very much. It has an urban fantasy/vaguely steampunkish feel.

You're still going to have a hard time choosing, I think! (I am hearing nothing but raves about The Hunger Games, mentioned higher up in this thread.)

Thanks. Its a darn shame the first book isnt a kindle version. I wonder why that is. I read a sereis by AManda Hockings and when I went to get the 4th book(Wisdom) not in a kindle version.

I hate when that happens too...can be a hassle. But if I really want it I will but the paperback or see if the library has it. :)
