Silly question but does it have the same sounds on the fire....for instance the shuffling sound of the cards?

Hit Menu from book title/listings page....then device settings, then device time and you can set it automatically or override manually:)

Does anyone know if there is a paid version of Words with Friends for Kindle Fire? It comes with a free version but after every single move it nags you to play via Facebook which I do NOT want to do.

This is an old pre-Fire, pre-Touch thread. You might want to start a new one to ask questions

Hi...did you have to download an app to play Words with Friends on your KF, or just connect to FB to play? I just got my KF yesterday so I haven't played w/it much yet...but I did note that while on FB Words With Friends wouldn't launch. Thanks for your input. :)

I have a Dell laptop, a droid phone and droid tablet. I can play WWF on all of them but so far I've been unable to pick up a game from one on another. If anyone knows how Id love to know.

If you are logged in to the same account it should work fine. I play on my desk top, Droid phone and Kindle fire. The games travel across all devices.

There is an app called Alarm clock Extreme Free that will work on your Fire. I have used it on my phone for ages and love it.

There is an app for an alarm clock and calendar for the Kindle Fire. I think it was free or if not free .99

The popup ads on a Kindle Fire are frustrating and I have found no way to get rid of them. I play WWF on a NookColor....no ads.

If you are getting ads, it's because you downloaded a free app. Get the paid version and there won't be ads.

M. Francis, unfortunately at this point there isn't a paid version of Words with Friends available for Android devices (not just the Kindle Fire). I would buy it immediately if it were available. (-:

Hm, I wonder how Granny got a version for her Nook that has no ads.

So you can play Words with Friends on a Fire but not a regular Touch? If you can do it on a Touch, how do you download it?

Then the next step is to go after the developers!

None of the eInk kindles will accept those apps, you can't download it to a touch.

Oh, I have tried, M. Francis! I have emailed them many, many times about providing a paid Words with Friends for Android (and the Amazon App Store), and about having Hanging with Friends (available in the Google Play Store but not in the Amazon App Store) and Matching with Friends (not available for Android yet at all) available as well. No responses to my emails at all.
